A Community on a Mission

Pleasant Grove LogoLogo From Rebranding Campaign For Pleasant Grove Not only is Southeast Dallas the best "Location" for your business, but it's the best "Home" for it as well. Southeast Dallas is rich with history, culture, passion, pride and a strong sense of community, making it the perfect environment for any growing business. While strong family values are at the top of the list for southeast Dallas, so is the appreciation and support for quality, sustainable businesses. This community understands that the right kind of economic development is vital to its growth.

Hundreds of organizations work tirelessly within the community to ensure that Southeast Dallas is a safe and pleasant place to live and to do business. There are over 150 merchant and neighborhood crime-watch associations, an emergency food bank, over 50 churches, 25 schools, and hundreds of non-profit organizations providing a multitude of important services and support, ranging from housing to after-school programming. Volunteerism is strong in this community, which hosts at least one major community-wide event. Merchants and businesses are a big part of the success of these events and are welcome and encouraged to be involved on many levels.

Many feel this strong sense of Community comes from the demographic make up of Southeast Dallas. Southeast Dallas is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in North Texas. The peaceful mix of culture and heritage give Southeast Dallas an almost European look and feel. This diversity carries through to city hall, where Southeast Dallas is represented by four (4) city council persons, the most of any area of Dallas. Having four (4) councilpersons out of twelve supporting Southeast Dallas is instrumental in ensuring our voice is heard, loud and clear.

Quite simply, Southeast Dallas, lead by a new generation of dedicated, caring, passionate individuals, healthy viable businesses and organizations such as the Southeast Dallas Chamber of Commerce, is poised for the type of growth and revitalization that only comes around once in a lifetime. It's easy to see why many consider Southeast Dallas the City's Hidden Treasure.
